Our Family Run Company

Andrew Black Haulage and Storage is a long established, family run company which operates under the continued leadership of Andrew Black Snr, who founded the business in 1958 with wife Janet originally as an agriculture contractor evolving into a haulage contractor in 1960, predominantly shifting lime. Mr Black Snr was soon joined in his venture by twin sons, John and Andrew, who have worked tirelessly to develop the company over the majority of their lives. Throughout the years the business has seen radical expansions with a shift of operating from the small local village of Drem to the nearby airfield, which has seen countless improvements and renovations as the business has grown.

Andrew Black Haulage and Storage has consistently been acknowledged for its achievements, being named 2013 Scottish Haulier of the Year and Scottish Innovative Haulier of the Year 2009. Andrew Black Snr, at one point the chairman of the RHA, was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement award in 2004 for his successes within, and continued dedication to, Andrew Black Haulage and Storage.
